Baden-Baden's Museum Mile in the Allee
Museum Frieder Burda, Kunsthalle, LA8, City Museum
This is one of the very few cities where you can combine a visit to a museum mile with a relaxing stay in an environment surrounded by nature but very close to the pedestrian zone. The highlight of Baden-Baden's Museum Mile is the Museum Frieder Burda by star architect Richard Meier.
Right next to it is a historic museum building housing contemporary art. A few metres further on, the Baden-Baden City Museum, which is well worth seeing, invites you to embark on a journey through the history of Baden-Baden from Roman settlement to the summer capital of Europe.
Frieder Burda Museum
Two for the price of one
There are museums where not only the works on display but also the architecture are worth a visit. The Museum Frieder Burda is one such masterpiece. The overall design incorporates daylight and views of Lichtentaler Allee to create a unique atmosphere. Endowed by Frieder Burda in 2004, the gleaming white museum quickly developed into a popular international attraction.
